Instant Electronic Gift Certificates
You can purchase an instant gift
certificate on our site that can be used by your designated
recipient to purchase Sterling Sisters merchandise. If there's not enough
time to ship a package, or if you want your recipient to be able to choose
her own items, this is a great way to go!
A. Purchasing a Gift Certificate
It's easy. You will put your name and email address
and your recipient's name and email address in a simple form. That
way our shopping cart can notify you both of the transaction. You
can also include a personal message. (If you don't want the
recipient to know about your gift until a future time of your choosing,
use your own name and email address as both the purchaser and the
recipient. See the Helpful Hint box in the right column of this
page.)
Please note that when you buy a gift certificate:
(1) We will charge your credit/debit card even though your recipient may
not order for a while.
(2) If you have a California address, the shopping cart will tell you that you are being charged sales tax on top of your gift
amount. We do not charge your card for any tax (that's the
recipient's obligation, and only if the order is shipping to California).
(3) If your gift certificate order is $125 or more the shopping cart will
tell you that you are getting a 5% discount. When we charge your card you
will not receive the discount; however, your recipient will receive
the discount on any order of $125 or more. Your card will be
charged the exact amount of your gift.
B. Using a Gift Certificate
It's easy. Just go shopping for merchandise on our
website. When you check out, at the bottom of the page where you enter
your billing and shipping information, enter your gift
certificate number. (Be sure to enter it correctly, including any dashes.)
The gift certificate amount will be deducted from your total.
(The total includes shipping and, if sent to a California address,
California sales
tax.) If your purchase is less than the
gift certificate amount, the balance will remain for your future use. If
the total exceeds your gift certificate balance, we will obtain your
credit card information to cover the excess amount due. We accept VISA,
MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

• If you are buying a gift certificate for someone and want to control
when and how she finds out about it, use your own name and
email address for both the purchaser and the recipient when you
fill in the gift certificate details. You'll then receive the
order acknowledgement as purchaser and also the notification that goes
to the recipient. Now you can decide when and how to announce
your gift. |
